Technical Support Analysts with PhD’s…

March 18, 2008

As mentioned in a previous post we have been recruiting for Level 2 Technical Support Analysts in Sofia. The educational background of the candidates applying for the positions has been quite interesting. We have had candidates apply for these positions with PhD’s in Nuclear Physics, Masters in Business Administration, MSc in Computer Science, etc. Interestingly most of the candidates interviewed speak to 3 – 4 languages, i.e. English, German, Russian and Italian, French or Spanish. We have a highly educated and multilingual Technical Support department now!

Our first near-shore employee started on Wednesday last week. Alexander from Sofia, Bulgaria has joined our Technical Support team. Another member of the near-shore team starts on Thursday bringing the total employees who have started to two. Three others have accepted offers and will start in early April. We have a further 9 people to recruit over the next few weeks to bring the total in the near-shore team in Sofia, Bulgaria to 14 people. The quality of the candidates English has been very good so far and arguably better than I have experienced with India. Culturally Bulgaria is a closer fit to England than India too!
